Ayurveda — Timeless Wisdom for Contemporary Health

What is Ayurvedic Care?
Ayurveda, “the science of life,” is the art of living in harmony with yourself and the world around you. It’s a holistic approach that looks beyond symptoms, based on the understanding of the balance between body, mind, and spirit, and the unique constitution of every individual.

A way of seeing the wholeness, finding a lifestyle that resonates with who you are, your essence, and your balance, will promote health and longevity.

Ayurveda has its roots in ancient India, where it has been practised for thousands of years as a holistic system of health and healing. Sarah has studied with Kerala-born
Dr Sangeeta Balaprakashat Rasayana in Stockholm through a comprehensive training program. The education combines traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with practical methods for supporting well-being, offering both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience.

Sarah also since many years has had her “yoga home” in the
ISHTA lineage where the Ayurvedic perspective is an important pillar to consider the individual and understand how yoga can help us move towards the art of well-being.

Through observation and listening, simple practices create awareness and well-being, like mindful eating, daily routines, breathwork, yoga practice, movements and herbal support. Ayurveda helps you to find your unique balance. By honouring your doshas and working with the elements, small, thoughtful changes can ripple into deep, lasting effects. Health becomes not just the absence of illness, but vitality, presence, and inviting joy in everyday life.

What an Ayurvedic consultation looks like

Your first session is about listening and recognition. Sarah will explore your story, your routines, the food you eat, the sleep you get, and the signals your body gives you. Observing your pulse, digestion, skin, energy and emotional tendencies helps you to identify yourPrakriti(constitution) and understand yourVrikriti(current imbalance).

From there, you will receive personalised suggestions:

• Simple food guidelines thatsuit your dosha and the season
• Morning or evening routines that restore and charge your energy and your rhythm
• Breath or mindfulness practices to integrate body and mind towards harmony
• Herbs, teas or oils that gently support your balance

The aim is not perfection. It is a steady calibration – small changes that ripple into profound effects over time.

Why Long-Term Support Matters
One session can bring clarity, but real change unfolds gradually. Our bodies and minds shift with the seasons; deeper balance takes time. Packages of 3 or 5 sessionsoffer space to observe, adjust, and integrate. Ayurveda is lived — its wisdom grows as you live with it. It is based on the understanding of the balance between body, mind, and spirit, as well as the unique constitution of every individual.
